The past year has had a wide range of emotions for us as we have seen God’s leading for us to leave the staff of Cru. The past 40+ years have been the greatest experience with you who have been on our team-praying with/for us, caring for us, giving to us, being with us to take Jesus’ Kingdom message to lost students in all parts of the world (15+ countries). We have told you many stories (in our letters) of students and staff of Cru that we have led and taught to be the best disciples of Jesus they can become. We think of Hellen, Jay, Sarah Michelle, Susan, Brian, Charles, Sarah, James, Dan, Kimmy Jo, Jonathan, Melanie, Paul, Lisa, Brandon, Bria, Susie, Keith, to name just a few of the dear folks God has brought into our lives over the years. We are so grateful for each person and opportunity God has given us to build His kingdom. We will never know how we (you and us) have impacted our world. We have grown from a young ‘man’ out of UT in 1976 and for Barbara a young sorority girl from Auburn in 1980 where God (and you) have brought us today. We thank God and you for standing with us in our journey with Jesus and on the staff with Campus Crusade for Christ—now CRU. Our heart and passion has not changed. We still are living for the Kingdom. We promise to continue leading and teaching others to be the best disciples of Jesus they can become. I hope all of you will stay with us as we shift gears a bit to better position ourselves for more effective ministry for the rest of our days on this earth. (our last quarter!) We plan to invest our time into men and women through discipling, teaching the Word, reaching out through our home, community and church. Our heart and vision is to impart what we have been entrusted to others to declare God’s wonders to the next generation and to help them become Jesus’ disciples. We are excited for what new doors this will open up for us for greater impact.
